early on to shoot for a ratio of 10:1. The high gain would then be able to see 1-particle
events better than the low gain (for it, 1 particle is basically pedestal). The low gain
would be able to see the large particle showers (when the high gain would be saturated).<br/>
We've pretty much decided that the curving of the data above (x, y) = (40, 400) is from the
inefficiencies of the phototubes at high energies.</span></p>
