1. Warm the butter and oil in a skillet. Sauté onion until caramelized.
2. Dump the onion, beans, and water in a slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.
3. Eventually, dump in salsa and seasoning.
4. Serve with chopped avocado and tortillas.
